My name is Cristina. I fell in love with capoeria back in 2003, and it has been my constant companion ever since, travelling with me all the way from Spain to England.

Last year (2025) I was encouraged and helped by my teacher Contra Mestre Negoteta to start teaching children. It has been an incredible journey; I have found that I learn just as much from their energy an curiosity as they do from my teaching.

In the classes I focus on building thier self-confidence, sense of community and teamwork.

Capoeira teaches them rhythm and coordination and improves their physical skills with its unique mixture of music an martial arts.

Capoeira tells a story that gets passed on from capoeirista to capoeirista.
